SCREENPLAYS

I am very proud that some of my stories have been produced in both television and feature film (also being a gun-for-hire by various studios). … All-too-often the final productions have fallen far short of the original story/screenplay, but I understand that is just part of the ‘business’. After all the dust settles, the ambition remains to share my stories.

Here are a few live-action screenplays, currently available. …  To obtain a copy, or for more information, use the ‘Contact me’ page.

GROVER’S FIELD”

(Action/Adventure) – RATED G

Six adventurous children, known as the ‘Chaos Kids,’ embark on a mission to rescue a little brother who vanished into a mysterious hole in Grover’s field. … Their mission erupts into a wild roller-coaster ride of adventure through an underground labyrinth of strange worlds. Lost and increasingly desperate to return home, they enlist assistance and navigation from some of the most whimsical characters imaginable.

‘GROVER’S FIELD’ hearkens back to classic childhood adventures, where friendships form in unlikely places, and nothing should be judged too quickly. … It’s a journey through the fantastic worlds that exist beneath our feet and inside our hearts.

This screenplay was adapted to book form (see BOOKS AND NOVELS).

“OLD SPICE”

(Action/comedy) – RATED PG

Reporter Janice Evans and her ‘hippie-throwback’ cameraman have been sent to a rural location in the Pacific Northwest to cover a ‘fluff-piece’ about a troupe of elderly male exotic dancers. She soon discovers that there is far more to these free-spirit seniors than she could have imagined. Her discovery sets off a madcap adventure as five forgotten side-show performers are forced to dust off their spandex and guard their secret.

‘OLD SPICE’ offers a strong female lead and a rare opportunity to assemble five legendary funnymen, from the golden age of Hollywood, as heroic characters that will appeal to a whole new generation of fans.

“FUZZY DICE”

(Action/cornball comedy) – RATED R

When Andy Fenatelli attempts to use his best friend’s emotional quagmire as a vehicle to make money, things rapidly spin out of control. Their madcap adventure finds them running from the mob, hiding with an exhibitionist savant, encountering the President, and even saving the city of angels.

‘FUZZY DICE’ is a cheesy, over-the-top, cornball comedy that sets political correctness aside in favor of funny. It is a high-adventure homage to the 80s – 90s when cornball comedies were just about being ‘whacked-out’ fun. That said, to classify this as simplistic ‘fluff’ would be to overlook the social subtext.

“PRAY FOR ME”

(Supernatural/suspense) – RATED PG-13

As a priest who is growing increasingly skeptical, Father Steven Holland fears he may not only be losing his faith but his very sanity. His world shifts when a mysterious transient makes a desperate request for forgiveness. With heaven in disarray and hell a beautiful notion, the viewer never knows if events are truly as they seem or simply figments of Steven’s breaking mind.

‘PRAY FOR ME‘ is where ‘The Prophecy’ meets ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.’ … A high-concept/low-budget vehicle, well-suited for the rebellious indie producer who is not afraid of controversy and eager to make their mark on the scene.

THE COVINAUTS – ANIMATION PG-13

Animation (Comedy/TV) – RATED – PG

An informational packet (about a 5-minute read) containing synopsis, story arc, episodes, and photos of each leading character + descriptions (eight episodes). … While some may throw around the word ‘unique,’ I can assure you it is spot on in this case.
